Nature and the Manmade

This photo was taken outside, looking INTO a building, with a fully functional roof. From first glance, it would appear quite the opposite.

Is is possible to create a symbiosis between man-made structures and the natural environment? Some could argue no, in that nature is always striving towards entropy while man craves order in his life and creations. Nevertheless, it would seem that for some period of time, the two can coexist to create a cohesive environment. This particular cafe we passed in New York found an atmospheric solution to bringing nature in, and diners were willing to pay top dollar and wait in lines over an hour long just to experience it. I believe that speaks strongly towards our desire to experience more natural components in areas we are less likely to expect it.
