Designboom featured British photographer and professor Rob Kessler’s artwork featuring “microscopic nature”.  Finding an intrinsic beauty within the various flora, his work brings together science and art creating memorable and intriguing visuals.  Through a process of capturing photographs on a scanning electron microscope, he then enhanced the images by using layers of colors and washes to intensify the forms and demonstrate their “ornate and mesmeric structures”.  These various plant materials, such as pollen, seeds, fruit, fruit and leaves show beauty through the display of their complex and intriguing structures.  Kessler finds the natural beauty within the subject and redefines it to become artistic demonstrating eye-catching images.
